New pieces added to the starter library

7 Jun 2026

Five new graded pieces joined the starter library this month, chosen to fill gaps between existing difficulty levels rather than just adding more pieces at the levels already well covered.

At the beginner end, a simplified arrangement of a well-known folk melody gives new players something recognizable to work toward in their first few sessions, rather than starting exclusively with technical studies.

In the intermediate range, three pieces spanning Baroque, Classical, and early Romantic styles were added specifically to give players practicing for a specific era — a recital theme, a grade exam syllabus — more choice within that style rather than a single representative piece per era.

The fifth addition is a short contemporary piece with a more syncopated rhythm than most of the existing library, aimed at players whose timing accuracy scores are strong on straightforward rhythms and are ready for something that tests timing precision more directly.
